Monocoque (MQ) body design is the single greatest leap in spinning reel design ever produced. Realising a true single piece body construction of spinning reels on the market. MQ technology delivers benefits to anglers on multiple fronts. Delivering the holy grail of lighter and more compact reels, whilst also delivering improvements in strength and weather sealing at the same time. By replacing the traditional sideplate with a large direct screw-in engine plate, the extra material required on the main frame is no longer needed, and as a result of that design the size of drive gear which can be installed is maximised.
