New Product Alert: Saltist MQ Reel

Our recent release of the Saltist MQ reel serves the avid kiwi angler by giving them access to some of Daiwa’s most famous pieces of reel technology but with the affordable price tag. The reel employs Daiwa’s Magseal technology providing heavy defense to salt, while the new Monocoque (MQ) body houses a larger diameter Tough Digigear to allow anglers the power needed to win the fight over a fish.

“The Daiwa Saltist MQ is one of Daiwa’s newer offerings this year. II own the 4000 model and so far it's proved itself nicely. From solid snapper to serious string-pullers like kingfish and rays, I have yet to catch a fish that pushes its capabilities.
Primarily fishing from a small boat or rocks, my gear gets its fair share of salt spray. The magsealed body protects the all-important inner mechanisms from the elements.
