Spartan II

The initial creation of the Spartan range heralded the first complete premium range of heavy duty saltwater rods specifically designed with the kiwi angler in mind. The range covered all bases, from topwater through to mechanical jig and slow pitch. Now for 2025 the Spartan range has been reimagined and redesigned.

The Spartan II aesthetics have been refined and more of Daiwa’s latest rod tech poured in to create a series of rods that excel in their chosen fields. In the updated range you’ll find topwater, mechanical jig – overhead & spin, slow pitch and softbait rods, all perfectly crafted to be technically sound.

The notable addition tech wise is X45X Full Shield giving the blank increased stability across its entire length. This enhances the rods functionality when battling hard fighting saltwater species as the angler can focus on battling the fish and not the rod. Combine this with its predecessors tech, V-Joint, HVF Nanoplus, Fuji SiC’s, you’ll find a series that oozes Saltiga tech and performance at a more affordable price.
