Bio/Background?

Growing up in the far north with the Parengarenga harbour just minutes from my doorstep, my bug for fishing came naturally. My father would take me out any chance he could & I just couldn't get enough. My passion for adventure is still growing to this day. Fishing, hunting & diving is all a big part of my life and who I am.

I am currently pursuing content creation so I try to get out there as much as possible to capture unforgettable moments for YouTube & my other social media platforms.

Fishing area of speciality/favourite type of fishing?

Straylining with stinky old bait is where it all started for me but in recent years I have found a love for new school techniques such as softbaiting for snapper & casting stickbaits for big yellowtail kingfish. If I’m honest, I love it all but watching a big kingfish erupt on a topwater lure is hard to beat!

Most Memorable Catch?

I have had so many moments that had me frothing at the scene but some recent highlights that come to mind would be livebaiting a 20kg+ Kingfish on the Daiwa Free Swimmer and landing my PB Kingfish of 2023 which was estimated 28kg.

What Are Your Daiwa Essentials?

Definitely my trusty topwater & softbaiting setups. The Saltist MQ18000 paired with the S80-6/8 Demon Blood rod is a weapon for stopping big kingfish. My BG MQ 4000 reel paired with TD Black Slugger rod is undefeated when casting Bait Junkie softbait lures.
